Its been an interesting week here in Kingaroy, starting Monday night with an earthquake at Eidsvold which woke me up at 2am to the sound of the windows rattling and a huge noise similar to a tremendous gust of wind. Didn’t feel the earth move or anything like that (Jack slept through the whole 5 second ordeal)
Now we are soggy and wet, having copped a rain depression following Cyclone Marcia coming down the coast! All this and we haven’t left Kingaroy yet! In between the rain we managed to get the caravan and car (in future referred to as “the jigger”) , loaded up and on the launch pad. Roll on Monday!
Our first stop will be Girraween National Park, near Stanthorpe QLD. We visited here for an 8 day rest and relaxation holiday after New Year, to test the van and find any little hiccups etc but this R & R was cut short when Mr Newman called an election and we had to dash home to help our local member campaign (Jack being her campaign manager and all).
So now we will return there, hopefully to the same camp site as last time, with an amazing view to Pyramid Rock , here’s a piccy………
It won’t be quite the same as Susan & Bob will not be there this time, but am so looking forward to being in that beautiful part of Queensland again.
See you on the road
Christine & Jack
