Good Friday at Rlystone

Time for thanks giving and meditation.  We joined the locals this morning for Stations of the Cross, the Easter Pilgrimage – very moving and humbling.  I am not great with words but was moved to tears during this service.  We started at St Malachy’s Catholic Church, then on to St James Anglican Church and finally to the Uniting Church.  So glad we went along.  Afterwards they made us very welcome and insisted we stay to share fellowship and refreshments at the hall next to the church.  Hot cross buns made at the local bakery and tea and coffee!  We walked back ‘home’ to our van and just after that the rain came and its been drizzling ever since.

The quiet caravan park we have been staying in is now breaming and packed with campers, all setting up camp sites in the rain, poor things!  And so begins Easter weekend.  Thank you Jesus for your ultimate sacrifice.

“I cannot tell how silently He suffered, as with His peace He graced this place of tears……….or how His heart upon the cross was broken…….

But this I know, he heals the broken-hearted and stays our sin and calms our lurking fear, and lifts the burden from the heavy laden for yet the Saviour of the world is here.”

Be blessed this Good Friday, stay safe ….

Love and hugs

Jack and Christine

    1. Hi Heather wow you did hv a big weekend – hope you coped alright and didn’t cause you too much work! We are still at Rlystone due to the wet weather, not much point in packing and moving with rain and storms around and we are in no rush! There was a break in the weather this morn so the awning dried out and we have rolled it up and packed everything away, so will leave here in the morning heading for Ponto Falls near Wellington. With or much to do, except peg the washing out AGAIN we went up town this morning and did the shopping and then went for Yum Char! Yummy! Hope you are all well. Love and hugs xx

  2. Sounds like you had a blessed time. We also did at Tyrone Easter Camp. Will be returning in 2016, and suggest that if you are still anywhere around this state come Easter 2016 then plan it in. We had a storm last night , got 25 mm and then another 6mm. We have the Westies and some of the Hansens for the night. caleb is back with us after his broken arm and dislocation. Flying doctor from Charlieville to toowoomba. All good now , just a matter of recuperating . Well keep safe and bless you guys.
