Its been such a full on fortnight, with so many places to visit, so much food to sample and wines to taste, but there’s also been a lot of sight seeing to be done too. Oh, and some fun too, like the day we went to the hedge maze and mini golf course. What a fun day that was. We have met up again with a couple we first met in Carnarvon, not our fishing friends Wendy & Mike, sadly they are already back home in Adelaide now, miss them, such good times and laughs we had together. However Pam & Dave are here too at Big Valley so we headed off with them to the maze. Jack and I got lost a few times, it was so funny hearing people talking, just over the hedge, that had already found the middle, but we went round and round and round! Pam ended up ringing me to tell us how to get in, noooooooo! I want to find it for myself, doesn’t matter how long it takes, Jack and I were having fun! Got there eventually, coming back out was a lot easier! Then onto the mini golf, 18 holes of tricky ups and downs, rocks and water hazards and again a lot of laughing.
That top right pic I call ‘Jack’s impossible shot’ as the hole is in the foreground, can you see it? And he sunk it from behind that rock! What a cheer went up over that one! The grounds were lovely here, lots of ponds and wild flowers everywhere, and beautiful fragrant roses. A good day out all round.
Then we were able to catch up once again with Sue and Bob as they had arrived in Margaret River. So off we went to see Gracetown, Cowaramup, Canal Rocks and Prevelly Beach, not all in one day of course! And on the way we stopped in at Nougat place, Berry place, Cheese place, chocolate factory again, cookie place and some wineries too. Here’s a smattering of pictures from our time together. We even saw a white peacock, and a weird statue on rocks, as well as more cows of course.
Feeling so blessed to have had this time with Sue and Bob, so far from our home and loved ones. Had to say goodbye to them of course as they have more to see and do before they fly home. And that’s Margaret River for you! What a great place to visit, such a beaut time. Onward now to ‘fill in’ a couple of weeks before setting up camp for Christmas at Manjimup. So we are heading east out to the famous Wave Rock. We’d love you to join us, read on! Love and hugs to you all
